We’re pulling into this release with a few additions that make individual practice clearer and more varied. 

In this update, you will find:
⚓ Basic Towage: Towage makes its first introduction in NAUTIS Home through premade, structured scenarios. Users can start exploring tug operations with the tugs Olena and Grutte Pier in a fictional port environment. The scenarios also include simulated towing forces in kilonewtons. When the maximum force is exceeded, the towline can snap, adding an important layer of realism.

⚓ Improved Navigation Lights: Navigation lights have been updated to behave more clearly and realistically in different conditions, including fog, distance, and night-time operations.

⚓ Top-down Mooring Cam: A new camera angle that shows the vessel from straight above. It is especially useful during mooring and close-quarter manoeuvring, where a little extra perspective can make a big difference.

New features 

• Basic Towing: Scenarios with variations of a tug and a large vessel which allow you to practice tug manoeuvres. 

• Top-down Mooring Cam:  a new camera option with a view from straight above your vessel. 

Improvements 

• More realistic visualisation of navigation lights. The halos are smaller, and navigation lights will appear and disappear in sync with the environment lights. The clustered lights will be easier to separate from further away and the visibility angles are improved.

The Antwerp chart is not updated yet, this will be done in a future release. 

• Rhine environment: Ehrenbretistein Fortress landmark added. 

Bug fixes 

• Improved collision shapes for the Vienna. Related to reports from community users 1 and 2 got stuck in Rhine Gorge (Schleuse Koblenz). 

  

• Alameda navigation lights (port/starboard underway status) 

• Olena improved collision mesh 

• Grutte Pier improved collision mesh 

• Exploration scenario fixes and improvements: 

  • changed some route followers to static 

  • removed delayed start for some route followers, apparently this does not work 

  • added nav and deck lights to dark scenarios 

• Reloading the same environment sometimes crashed NAUTIS Home, this is now fixed. 

How to install the product update:  
Start the NAUTIS Home launcher and log in with your LXP credentials. The Launcher will automatically show the option to download the newest version and asks you to install it. After the installation is complete, you have the latest version of NAUTIS Home.
