VRInsight Ship console 4 Drivers

I hope you are doing well.

I am writing if anyone have the latest drivers and software packages for the VRInsight Ship Console 4. Specifically, I need:

  • SerialFP2 driver

  • VRiSim base package

  • HID Manager

  • Ship Console calibration tools

I am setting up the console for use with a maritime simulator and need the correct drivers to enable full HID axis control.

Thank You in advance

Graving docks

Hi all!

Would anyone know what environment would have a graving dock? I’d like to attempt to put the Clipper Canary in and drop the water height. Try a dry docking maneuver!

Thank you and happy sailing!

Are we getting any major updates this year ?

Every NAUTIS Home session starts with an important choice: where are you sailing, and which vessel are you taking? 🚢

And we all have our favourites. For us, it has to be the Oleana in Rotterdam, which is our home base so we may be just slightly biased.

Which vessel and environment do you keep returning to? Share it in the comments, or show us with a screenshot from your latest session!

I use many different environments, especially Gibraltar, the Solent, Rotterdam, Antwerp, Rio, and New York, mainly with deep‑sea commercial vessels (Pomoxis, North Star, Cheviot Bandit, …) except the Acturus because its large draft limits us. I try to create short scenarios because I find it quite depressing to sail alone in these big ports.

Stefan Pels

I enjoy sailing several different boats. If I want to quickly explore a new area >>> Aetos

- on the Rhine >>> Vienna

- in Rotterdam >>> Pomoxis, Kingfisher, Leocadia, RHP4

- in the canals around Antwerp >>> Maasstroom, Belladonna.

I actually like all the environments, but my favorites are Rotterdam, Antwerp, and the Rhine. Unfortunately, I can't show you a picture because I'm on vacation.

I'd really love to sail in Hamburg, including a section of the Kiel Canal!!!

Training with a current

I have tried to play the training in wich you have to stay between the four buoys in presence of a 3 kn current. Despite the various way I've tryed I ever failed the object. Can someone help me? Thank You

Aidan Lee

With current, use the STW to gauge water flowing along the rudder. You can steer without using any engines, use intermittent engine controls to counter the current.

Arne Schollaert

the key mostly is to keep all the knot meters at 0 knots in your conning panel, so bow port/starboard, stern port/starboard forward and aft should all be zero knots, from the moment one gets to 0,1 knots you start adjusting, give a little thrust to not overdo it.

VHF integration

Hi All.

New here so forgive me if this is already mentioned before.

I really like this simulator! Thing I miss a bit is the radio. That is something that should be on board. And with some nice, even free like the one from Marpro, VHF simulators around, it almost feels it should be managable to connect those 2 worlds in Nautis.

To start with it being there as equipment to be used later to integrate in scenario's.

First of all, welcome. This has already been requested, but it is good to present our development wishes for this simulator, which I hope will become wonderful—perhaps not fully professional, but semi‑professional.

Aidan Lee

An open world with VHF's would be unreal. Perhaps this could be the new, exploration mode

Thank you thank you thank you!! I passed my exam!

Thanks to Nautishome I passed my exam!
I work on a tug of 10m and 13m on Waddenzee and Groningen area.
So different from Rotterdam / Waal and with 110m containership.
Practice at home does work very well!

Congratulations on passing your exam🎉

Thank you for sharing your experience with NAUTIS Home! We're delighted to hear that practicing at home helped you prepare successfully. Learning-by-simulation is one of the key goals of NAUTIS Home, so feedback like yours is incredibly valuable and helps us continue improving the experience for future students.

If you're willing, we'd love to learn a bit more about how you used NAUTIS Home during your studies. For example:

• Which exercises or scenarios did you practice most?
• How often did you train with the simulator?
• What aspects of the exam did you feel NAUTIS Home helped you prepare for?
• Were there any features or situations that you found particularly valuable?

If you are interested in sharing more details, please feel free to email to [email protected]. If not, that is also ok, no worries!:)

Congratulations again, and safe sailing!

Congratulations on your success. It’s an asset for Nautishome. This demonstrates the need to develop this simulator and/or educational tool as close to reality as possible.

new map

Personally I think that they should add Malta to the game since it has some interesting ports and also commanly used in the shipping industry

Gorinchem 2026

A warm thank you to the VSTEP team for welcoming me to their stand at Maritime Industry 2026 in Gorinchem on Wednesday 3 June.

A special hello to the forum manager (among others), with whom I had a very interesting chat. It was a real pleasure to meet members of the team behind our favorite simulator for the second time (having also met some of them in 2025).

Once again, my congratulations to the whole team, see you all next year.
