Launcher and installer update

Ahoy NAUTIS Home Community,

Over the past two days some of you have had trouble starting the NAUTIS Home Launcher.

We have identified and applied the following two fixes:

  • The Launcher produces an error dialog stating the LXP connection could not be made
    This was caused due to a Windows software package version not being present in the installer. In most cases this software package would already be on your PC or laptop and thus all would be fine.
    How to resolve:Ā An update of the installer was made. Download it onĀ https://lxp.vstepsimulation.com/download. To be sure the installation works best, uninstall the NAUTIS Home Launcher first. Please consult our FAQ (https://community.nautishome.com/technical) section on the Technical Issues: ā€œUninstallingā€

  • The Launcher does not accept my e-mail address
    We noticed that our policy on checking the e-mail address in the application was too strict and stricter than our website. This issue should be resolved in the launcher by accepting a vast variety of e-mail addresses
    How to resolve:Ā Start the NAUTIS Home Launcher. When started it will notify you that a new version is available. This version will be automatically installed and deployed.

If either of the issues is persisting for you, do not hesitate to reach out!

Finally, for the ones who can log in to the Launcher but cannot download NAUTIS Home due to receiving a 0GB installation, this is caused by the time on your PC or laptop not being correct. Our file server has a policy that download requests need to be within a certain range of its own time. This is a policy we cannot change. We will be investigating this issue at the moment to see what we can do.
