When giving pitch to the ferry it is unrealistic slow for the ships size. When its a big bulker with 10m propellor ok, but not when the propellors are only 4-5 meter the adjusting of pitch to full ahead to full astern is maximum 20-30 seconds. Also with the small coaster when adjusting RPM this goes to slow aswell.
At the other hand, the vessels having an Azipod the adjusting of pitch is going very quick.
Also i mentioned that most of the pitch propelled ships adjust the pitch and RPM this in on real ships not a thing when manouvring because mostly this ships have a shaft generator wich is powering the Bow and or stern thrusters. For that to happen the ships rpm should be fixed. Also during underway when the bow and sterntrusters are switched off the ships mostly use fixed RPM in order to generate ships power by shaft generator. Off course there are exemptions on my story. But this is how smaller ships work 2000-4000 GT size 80-125m length.
