NAUTIS Home Release Notes 18/07/2023 version 0.2.1.0.

Below you find the release notes for the product update of NAUTIS Home version 0.2.1.0. 

New features 

  • Night lights: the nightlights switch on and off automatically following the time of the day. Limitation: some loading time is required when the nightlights are switched on or off.  

  • Freedom to look under vessel with orbit camera to see the propulsion in action. With this viewpoint, you can see how the controls affect the movement of azipods, propellors and rudders. This will increase your understanding of the propulsion system and help you manoeuvre your vessel. 

Course 

  • Manouvering III, a theoretical and practical course about interaction effects.  

Vessels 

  • Added Pomoxis Vessel. 

  • Alameda vessel: added propeller wash against the rudder. (Thank you for reporting: Community) 

  • Doggerbanke: 

    • Corrected the pilot card speed. (Thank you for reporting: Community) 

    • Moved Doggerbanke bridge wing cameras outwards so the sides of the ship are visible from those camera locations. 

  • Fix for the anchor of the Cheviot Bandit being invisible. (Thank you for reporting: Community) 

Environments 

Improvements to the Rotterdam environment: 

  • Added Rhijnhaven bridge. 

  • Added Zalmhaven tower. 

  • Added Cooltoren. 

  • Added Boompjes building. 

  • Containers in the Hartelhaven were not fully on the quayside. They have been moved back. (Thank you for reporting: community) 

  • Jetties have been added to Berghaven. Raised the seabed a little for the floating stones issue. (Thank you for reporting: community) 

  • Trees near the Rhijnhaven bridge that were in the water have been removed. 


Seabed changes: 

  • The entrance of Krabbengeul Dordrecht had a depth of –6m which is too shallow. The seabed was lowered until it is at least -9.9m. (Thank you for reporting: community) 

  • Depth in Vuile Gat near the the island of Tiengemeten was indeed very shallow (-2m) and was made deeper. 

Improvements to the Sydney environment: 

  • Jetties and collisions of jetties were missing/incorrect near the Spit bridge. The bridge itself had the wrong orientation. Poles near the bridge at incorrect positions or should not have been there. 

  • Jetty in Sydney city center which was available in Ship Sim Extremes was added: (Thank you for reporting: community) 

  • Re-addition of jetties all around the shoreline which were not there anymore: 


Seabed changes: 

  • The seabed of Sydney was not accurate in several places. The seabed area of 12km x 6km has now been updated so the depth information matches the (original) charts. (Thank you for reporting: community) 

Improvements to the New York environment:  

Seabed changes: 

  • New York Ambrose channel has indeed a minimum depth (in the middle of the fairway) of 13.9 meters. Seabed has been changed to match this. (Thank you for reporting: community) 

Improvements to Koblenz to Mainz environment:  

A few ‘pyramids’ were found in the seabed. These have been smoothed out. 

Known issues 

  • In some scenarios the wind speed indicator starts with a very high value. It will slowly go down to the correct value.  

  • Sometimes the dialog close button needs to be pressed twice. 


How to install the product update:     

Start the NAUTIS Home launcher and log in with your LXP credentials. The Launcher will automatically show the option to download the newest version and asks you to install it. After the installation is complete, you have the latest version of NAUTIS Home.Â
